Love the Christmas Decorations Ding!!!

How's everyone else's preparations going???

I haven't done cards
I haven't baked a cake
but we have a tree up
and most the gifts bought and wrapped.

All of the family will be here in the wee hours for Santa, then to church
Most here for lunch
and hopefully all for tea.

Presents need wrapping.
Cards have been sent.
Tree is up.
Food needs organising.

Lunch at in-laws and dinner at brother's house....

Love, hugs and peace to you all.

Great pic, Ding

Just making last minute gifts...thick mint sauce, dukkah, bath salts.
Tree up, decs done.
Spending Christmas Eve with son's girlfriend's family. Christmas morning with ex in laws, Christmas lunch and dinner with friends in Waiupukurau, about an hour from here. Need to make a potato salad and green salad for that, but nothing much else to do...all done. Gonna relax

Oh sh*te! Just remembered I have a painting I have to do...bye!

Thanks, Smilie. Kiss wink  I thought the snowflakes might help to keep us cool down here in the antipodes! Grin

Us + Xmas =

  • Just finished making my own cards - must print them and labels to post on Monday! Roll eyes
  • No tree yet, not sure if we'll bother.
  • Coloured lights around verandah permanently anyway, but added lit up Santa shape out there.
  • Not doing the 'whole Xmas meal' thing, but have bought turkey breast and ham (Mum's choice) and will do lotsa lovely veggies, and prolly a bought Xmas pud.  Will be just us three.
  • Mum's bin threatening to make mince pies and shortbread, but, who knows when?! Dunno
  • Not doing pressies as much has been spent on improvements to 'new' house and garden.
  • I don't 'do' religion, so no church, but will think of folks around the world and prolly phone a few rellies/good friends. Nod yes
  • Happy to volunteer for local charity/ies if they need an extra pair of hands over Christmas period (e.g. pet rescue, oldies, hospital, etc.)

Overall, a fairly quiet time for us usually; same for New Year's Eve.

To all of our members and guests, wishing you an enjoyable and peaceful Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous New Year. Thumbs up

Well it's 3am here in NZ and Santa has winged his way, aided and abetted by a strong tail wind, to Australia. My son's Christmas stocking is now full and I am back to bed.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. Enjoy family, friends, food, fun and frivolity.
