Seen any good movies lately?? Watched any old movies that are favourites???
Beneath Hill 60 - is a brilliant movie which I really enjoyed and if you get a chance to see it at the cinema then go, it will be so much more dramatic on the big screen. It was directed by Perth actor Jeremy Sims.

Forgot to mention that it is about the Australian miners who went into WWI. Here's a trailer:

Oh, I had free movie pass, and wanted to see 'home by Christmas' but it's a no concessions movie so saw 'Boy'. set in NZ 1984. was watchable. and enjoyed seeing local stuff. but worth waiting till it's on telly me thinks. Is Beneath Hill 60 still on at theatres? I must check... have two more tickets to use before the 6th! (aren't I lucky to have free time!!)

When in Rome... we ate Pizzas!!!!! didn't find that fountain tho... or if we did, I didn't recognise it.. (you know the one you throw a coin in so you'll return) erm movies?? Watched HEAPS on the plane trips.. the best that comes to mind was The Dilemma.. oNE I LOVED a while back was The Bride Flight. I am a bit Biased as it was about Dutch coming to NZ about the same time as my Dad did. And the scenery of NZ in it. But the Story is great also. so I would recommend it. (If you don't mind some of it is in subtitles.)

We go to movies once or twice a year. I love the theater where we see most of them, they have a comfortable upstairs area where you can order food, and you can have wine in there too. It costs a bit more than downstairs, but what the heck, for a couple of extra dollars, why not have a nicer evening? (And I sneak the second glass of wine in, in my purse... me=cheapskate!) I think the last movie we saw there was Avatar, LOVED the beauty of the film, even if the plot was pretty ho-hum.

Went to the movies on Saturday night and saw the new Aussie movie Red Dog - set in Dampier in the north of Western Australia and based on a true story - I loved it, thought it was a great movie.
