Chat room added!

I've just added a new tab at the top which shows 'Chat'.  Clicking on this will open a new window/tab and give you the opportunity to enter the Chinwaggers Chat room.  This is a trial only at this stage.  Let's see how it goes!

Quick note:  I'm lurking in there now but don't really expect to see anyone tonight (my time).

I do, however, think we need to come up with a 'regular', perhaps weekly, time/day which would suit everyone best to meet up in there.  Bearing that in mind, I'm calling for suggestions for a day and time which might suit everyone.  It won't be easy because we're all in different time zones, but I'm sure we can come up with something!

Edit: I would be happy to meet up in the chat room once a week  or so, for me best times are weekdays when my kids are at school 9am-3pm, so any hour slot some where there.

I never know for sure what will be going on, but I know for sure that on Wed., Thur., and Fri. I am working (standard hours, 0800 to 1700 in most cases), but I'd like to try.  Saturdays almost any time are usually pretty good for me.

Gawd, so much has happened in the last couple of months.

I'd like to try to set up a meeting between us now though.   If you can all please let me know (either here or by PM) the name of a large city in your time zone OR just let me know your time relevant to GMT/UTC (e.g. GMT +10 or UTC -7), I'll try to tee up some times.

I've done a possible timetable for New Year's Day (as an example) at timeanddate.com (click me) showing London, Sydney, Auckland and New York if you prefer to relate to that.   Can you see a reasonable time which would fit with you and the other time zones?

Hmmm, 12 noon in UK is 11:00 PM in Queensland (Aust), 1:00 AM in NZ and 7:00 AM in New York.  I could manage that but do our Kiwi mates stay up late and Yanky friends get up early?

I'm unsure of our US members' time zones in relation to New York time.

Noon in the UK is 8pm here - which is good for me - except for a Wednesday night but is a little late in the eastern states and NZ.

Next week, hubby is away so I can get on here any time I want. I think!!
